Chipper will miss a few more games

The Braves managed to win several games without Chipper Jones in their lineup this weekend in St. Louis, and they may spend a few more days without their veteran third baseman.

Jones missed Tuesday night's series opener against the New York Mets with the strained left groin which he suffered during the ninth inning of Saturday's game against the Cardinals. When he played with approximately 50-60 percent effort on Tuesday afternoon, he still felt uncomfortable. "When I can get it to 75-80 percent and just kind of temper it, I'll get back in there," Jones said. He also said it is hopeful that he will be able to return to the Braves' lineup within the next few days. We look forward to seeing him playing on the field in his baseball jersey again.
