Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Jonas Gustavsson was examined by cardiac specialists in Toronto after leaving Tuesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens, playing only one period of the game. Gustavsson has had heart problems this season. He underwent heart surgery to repair a problem that caused an abnormal heart rhythm.
"I'm not going to be responsible for someone keeling over during a game," said Wilson after the Leafs' triumph. "The game's not that important." General Manager Brian Burke said Gustavsson did not need to spend the night in a hospital after Tuesday's incident.

Maple Leafs' Gustavsson has undergone minor surgery
Rookie goalie Jonas Gustavsson underwent minor surgery on Tuesday, spending only a few hours in a Toronto hospital. After a strenuous round on the exercise bike, Gustavsson felt a little bit dizzy last weekend at the team physical.
"We're just lucky it happened when he was put under stress," said coach Ron Wilson,"because otherwise it can be difficult to detect."Gustavsson returned to the game immediately the day after feeling uncomfortable but doctors has already noticed the problem.
